"There it is, Wendy. Second star to the right and straight on til morning!" -Peter Pan

"Yo, Rugman! Haven't seen you in a few millennia. Give me some tassel!" -Genie from Aladdin

"Do I still have to sleep in the cupboard?" --Chip from Beauty and the Beast

Day 26!

Day 26: Saddest death.

Mufasa's death in the Lion King....especially when Simba finds his body. I cried so hard at this part in the movie. Heck, looking at this picture makes me want to cry all over again. :(

Day 25!

*6 weeks until check-in!!!!!*

Day 25: Your favorite scene from your favorite movie.

When Wendy and Peter are standing on Big Ben, and he says this:

There's just something so magical about those words to me. And since I consider Disney World my Neverland, I always say this before we head down there. And in 6 weeks, I'll once again be heading to the second star on the right, and straight on till morning! :)

Leave a Legacy

Source: Simple Disney Things
My mom and I did the Leave a Legacy back in 2000. For those of you who don't know what it is, there's these marble slabs right when you enter Epcot (and there's a lot of them). For the millinium, people had their pictures taken, and they were put onto these slabs (hence, leave a legacy).Since there are so many pictures and slabs, it's hard to find yours. In fact, we didn't find ours again until this past April when we went for vacation. :p

Here's our picture.

The middle one, obviously. :p

It's hard to believe that picture was taken 11 years ago. That means I was 12! Ah! :p

Now, maybe by the time my program ends, I'll be able to find this picture at Epcot without any trouble. :p

Day 24!

Day 24: A movie that makes you cry.

I cried pretty much the entire movie.

Day 23!

Day 23: A movie that makes you laugh.

I love this movie! And I love love love Stitch! :)

My nieces love Stitch, too. :p

Day 22!

Day 22: An overrated movie.

Yes, I admit it, HSM is an overrated movie franchise.

However, that will not stop me from watching it. :p

Something I'm Gonna Miss

It may still be running, but I don't know. It was running both in December and in April when I went, so who knows. I didn't get a chance to ride it in December, but we got to ride it several times in April. :)

Day 21!

Day 21: An underrated movie.

Seriously underrated.

Day 20!

Oh wow....10 days left in this challenge! I need to start looking for another one! :)

Day 20: Your favorite sequel.

 Love. <3

Disney Life Lesson #1

Disney movies are great ways to teach important life lessons to kids. I came across this picture from "The Lion King" the other day, and I believe it's a great example of one of those lessons.

Ah, Rafiki. You always were a wise one.

Day 19!

Day 19: Your least favorite Pixar film.

Um, I like them all. But if I have to pick my least favorite, I guess I'll go with this one.

And this is mainly because I'm not a fan of bugs. But I still like to watch this movie.

Jeez...I honestly can't say that I don't like a Pixar film.

Monday, June 20, 2011

Day 18!

*7 weeks!!!!!*

Day 18: Your favorite Pixar film.

I love Monsters, Inc! It's so funny and cute. Plus, the little girl, Boo, reminds me of my cousin. She's 3 years younger than me, and when this movie came out, she looked a lot like Boo. In fact, my cousin's nickname (even before this movie came out) was Boo. So this movie has had a special place in my family's heart since it came out. :)

In Honor Of Fathers' Day

I give you:

Source: Simple Disney Things
Happy Fathers' Day to all the awesome dads out there! :)

Day 17!

Day 17: Your least favorite classic.

I've only seen this movie once, when I was little. So I don't remember a whole bunch about it, but I do remember that it made me cry. Even thinking about this movie makes me sad. :(

They Say Home Is Where The Heart Is.....

....and......

Source: Simple Disney Things
But I'll be back home in 51 days.

Day 16!

Sorry this wasn't posted this morning. I went out of town yesterday, and I didn't have time to update the blog this morning. I'm home now, so the rest of my countdown should be done in the mornings. :)

Day 16: Your favorite classic.

This is a no-brainer. :)

Friday, June 17, 2011

Day 15!

Halfway mark already? Jeez! :)

Day 15: The first Disney movie I saw.

My mother tells me that it was "The Little Mermaid." It came out the year after I was born, so I don't really remember this. But I'll take my mom's word for it. :p

Thursday, June 16, 2011

Day 14!

Almost to the halfway point. Jeez. This challenge is going by fast, too. :)

Day 14: Your favorite kiss.

When Belle and the Beast kiss, and he changes back into a prince. :) Shows that true love does indeed conquer all. ♥

Something That Will Be Hard For Me As A Cast Member

Source: Simple Disney Things
Since I've mostly known what is now Hollywood Studios as MGM Studios, it's hard for me to get out of calling it that. I've started training myself to call it Hollywood Studios, because I know that as a CM, that's what I'll have to refer to it as for guests. It's just hard to suddenly have to start calling one of the parks by a new name.

Day 13!

Day 13: Your least favorite song.

Oh wow. This is a tough one. Let me think for a bit.........

.....................................................................

.....................................................................

......................................................................

Okay...I got it!

I don't hate this song, but I really don't like to listen to it anymore. I think it's because, since Christina Aguilera performed it, it got soooo much air time on the radio, and I grew sick of the song. Really sick of it.

Another Thing I Can't Wait For

Source: Simple Disney Things

Absolutely beautiful. ♥

Day 12!

Day 12: Your favorite villain song.

"Savages" from Pocahontas is a classic example of how 2 groups of people completely misunderstand each other just because they are different. I think this is one "villain" song where the audience can actually learn something, not just about the characters in the movie, but about society.

I'm Gonna Get This A Lot. :)

Source: Simple Disney Things

Since I'll get a CM discount....you can bet I'll have plenty of plastic bags full of new merchandise. :)

Day 11!

*8 weeks!!!!*

Day 11: Your favorite love song.

"A Whole New World" from Aladdin! It's such a beautiful song. :)

And just for fun, here's my favorite cover of the song.

Nick Pitera is awesome. Seriously. Go look up his one man Disney movie video on YouTube. He's so very talented. :)

Sunday, June 12, 2011

Day 10!

I'm a third of the way through this countdown already? Jeez. Time really is flying by.

Anyway.....

Day 10: Your favorite Disney song.

"You Can Fly! You Can Fly! You Can Fly!" from Peter Pan! I am seriously considering having this song played at my funeral when I die. I think it would be appropriate. :p

My Favorite Thing To Do At Disney World

Source: Simple Disney Things
World Showcase is my favorite part of Disney World. I get to visit 11 different countries without ever leaving Florida. I think that's pretty cool! :p I could spend all day in World Showcase if people would let me. And I can't wait until I actually can do this. I plan on eating at least 1 thing from every country while I'm down there. And considering that I'll be down there for the International Food & Wine Festival, when they bring in even more countries, I'll be doing a lot of eating at Epcot. :p

Day 9!

Day 9: Your favorite *Original* character (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, etc.)

I have to go with the big cheese (and my future boss ;p) himself, Mickey Mouse!

"I only hope that we don't lose sight of one thing--that it was all started by a mouse." -Walt Disney

Friday, June 10, 2011

Day 8!

Day 8: Your favorite villain.

Hades. He's hilarious. And I love to laugh. Villains who make me laugh are the best. :)

Thursday, June 9, 2011

Day 7!

**60 Days!!!!!**

Day 7: Your favorite sidekick.

Collective sidekick! Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, and Cogsworth. :)

Best Thing About Being A Disney Resort Guest

Source: Simple Disney Things

Day 6!

I would just like to say that my check-in date (August 8) is two months from today!! :)

Now on with the challenge. :)

Day 6: Your favorite animal

I can't choose just one....so I picked three. :)

 Chip & Dale :)

And Stitch.

I have a thing for characters who make me laugh. And these always do. Even in the parks.

Can't Wait For This!

Source: Simple Disney Things
REAL fish and chips! I love the little stand in the UK Pavilion that serves these! It's one of my favorite places to eat. :)

I can't wait until I get to have this pretty much whenever I want.

Day 5!

Day 5: Your favorite hero.

Peter Pan! I mean, he rescues Wendy, Michael, and John from the world of grown-ups, he saves Tiger Lily, and he defeats Captain Hook. That's pretty awesome for a boy! :)

In True Disney Style....

Source: Simple Disney Things

Day 4!

*9 Weeks!!!!!*

Well, I'm a little late posting today. :p I'm actually trying to stay off the computer more than I have been. I don't want to spend my summer inside on the computer all the time. But, I'll at least try to do my challenges in the morning instead of waiting to do them. :p

Day 4: Your favorite prince.

Prince Philip from Sleeping Beauty. While the other princes either just come up and kiss the princess (Snow White), or ride in a boat and become indecisive about kissing her (The Little Mermaid), or trick the princess into thinking they're a real prince (Aladdin), Prince Philip actually goes and fights for his princess. He battles one of the most evil Disney villains, and risks his life, in order to save Princess Aurora. He fights for love. He risks everything for love. That's what a real prince should do. No, excuse me, that's what a real MAN should do.

And you know, David Beckham makes a really hot Prince Philip. ;p

Sunday, June 5, 2011

Day 3!

Day 3: Your favorite heroine.

Mulan. She was willing to do whatever it took to bring honor to her family, and that meant putting her life on the line. She fought for her country, her family, and herself. She was brave and courageous, and she showed girls that it's okay to fight for what you believe in.

Saturday, June 4, 2011

66 Days.....

....until I'm here again.

And I honestly can't wait. :)

Day 2!

Day 2: Your favorite princess.

Belle! Like Tink, she's independent and a bit feisty. I see a lot of me in her, too. Belle doesn't want to settle for what her hometown has to offer...she wants to see the world. She wants adventure. She wants to visit the places she reads about in her books (another thing we have in common--we both love to read). And she knows she deserves so much better than Gaston. She doesn't settle. She holds out for her prince, knowing that one day she'll find him. :)

New 30 Day Challenge (Day 1!)!

Well, today I'm cleaning my room/getting stuff ready to pack for Florida. I know I still have 66 days until check-in, but I need to go ahead and start organizing my stuff now....mainly because I have a lot of stuff. And I do mean a lot. I'm definitely going to need to have a yard sale to get rid of some of this stuff...and make some much needed money for Florida. So, I'm really cleaning my room and going through everything and seeing what I can get rid of and what I can keep. And I'm also going ahead and trying to figure out what I'm taking with me to Florida...especially furniture-wise. I don't need to take a lot, I know. But I do need some storage things. So, I know for sure I'm taking my rolling cart that I keep the majority of my art supplies in. I can't go to Florida without my supplies! :p I'm also taking my pink ottoman. That can be used as a foot rest or a seat, and the top lifts up and it doubles as a storage container, too! :) I'm also in the middle of refurbishing an end table my mom bought at a yard sale, and that will going with me. I can't wait until I finish it because it's going to be a pretty epic piece of Disney furniture. :)

Anyway, on to the new 30 day challenge! :)

Day 1: Your favorite character.

I love Tinkerbell! She's sassy, feisty, and she knows what she wants and she does what she needs to to get it. She's also pretty independent, but she also needs people around her. I'm definitely a lot like her. :)

Now, I'm about to get on my soapbox for a bit here. When I say I like Tinkerbell, I mean the classic Tink from Peter Pan. Not the new Tink. I hate the fact that she talks now. And I don't like the fact that she's no longer the only fairy. What made Tink, well, Tink, was the fact that she was able to convey her feelings and thoughts without having to use words. In Peter Pan, she's very expressive with her body language, and I loved that. I also loved that she was unique. There are a lot of Disney princesses....there was only one Disney fairy. Don't get me wrong, I love that I can now meet Tink in the parks and that I finally got her autograph after 13 years of trying. But, I don't like that Disney changed so much about her. I've watched a bit of one of the movies, and I feel like, because she can talk now, a lot of her sassiness and expressiveness is gone. And that makes me mad. I miss the classic Tinkerbell. That's the Tinkerbell that I love.

And just so you know, Tinkerbell was my favorite character before it was cool to have her as a favorite character. :p

Day 30!

Day 30: A picture that always makes you think of Disney.

Rain and waiting on parades. :)

 The reverse waterfall at Epcot.

My cousin getting attacked by Captain Hook at the bus stop at Coronado Springs. :p

Getting Leslie her first ear hat. :)

Mickey celebration cupcakes. :)

Wow! I'm done with the challenge already! Meg was right....these do make the time go by a little faster! :)

But if you liked seeing my challenge, don't worry. I'll start a new one tomorrow. :)
